VADIVELU who has vehemently opposed Vijayakant in poll campaign complained in an T.V interview that Vijayakant, the leader of the opposition in the newly elected assemply, has sent his henchmen, probably his fans, and pelter his house with stones. In a democrazy every one has a right to oppose him in elections? one must answer his deractors with only words not with stones. ThiS clearly shows what awaits tamilnadu when people oppose the policies of newly elected goverment.

Tamilnadu Elections
Tamilnadu Elections are over. The result is a expected one. The magintude of victory SURPASSES EVERY ONE'S EXPECTATION. Her ardent supporters NDTV AND DINAMALAR AND tHUGLAK AND OTHER AGRAHARATHU WEEKLYS DAILYS AND FORTNIGHTLYS would not have dreamt this.
What sort of victory is this? A man who fought for the rights of backward class and who gave every thing for the uplift of them when he was in power is not given even the opposition leader status. what a shame? Perhaps when we reached the top we don't need the ladder. But beware when we fall it will be steep fall and there won't be any recovery.
I was just reminded of a beautiful poem by Emily Dickenson.
Success is counted sweetest
By those who ne'er succeed.
To comprehend a nectar
Requires sorest need.
Not one of all the purple Host
Who took the Flag today
Can tell the definition
So clear of Victory
As he defeated--dying--
On whose forbidden ear
The distant strains of triumph
Burst agonized and clear!

Far From The Madding Crowd
Image via Wikipedia
Way back some twenty years ago I was on my way to a sightseeing trip to Thekkady from Madurai. Those days we rely on public transport for our travel pleasures. The bus I travelled stopped at a wayside hotel in a highway nearer to Thekkady for breakfast for its crew. The hotel was a thatched hut with an improvised wooden table and chairs. The hut was surrounded by beautiful trees and glimpses’ of Western Ghats, visible as backdrop scenery, added to its charm. No other building was nearby and it was isolated from the rest of civilization. They served hot idlies accompanied by coconut chutni and Pooris. I was little hesitant in the beginning to have my breakfast there. I still have not come across a restaurant that served such steamy hot idlies and delightful chutni that I encountered in that little beautiful thatched hut. The restaurant was clean and they served in a dry leaf. Even star hotels that I frequent (courtesy my son and daughter} have not matched that taste.
Recently I had an occasion to undertake a trip again to Thekkadi in a private taxi. (So much my travel preferences changed from public to private]. I stopped again at the same spot. Everything has changed. Instead of thatched hut a stone building was there. Laminate chair and tables sprung up. Loud music was blaring from a CD player. No of shops have been sprung up besides that hotel. The eatery was fully crowded and I was unable to find a place to sit and enjoy the food. Even the quality of the food was poor and not at all tasty. The trees once added to its beauty yielded its place to make room for more buildings and shops. What to call that? Development or progress. More no of cars and buses now stop there. More business was generated. But at what cost?
I longed for that lonely isolated hut far from the madding crowd that served hot idlies and tasty chatnies.

I ndia- Pakistan Deterent
The news that Pakistan atleast has 100 nuclear bombs at its arsenel is shocking. Many cities in India await nuclear death. Pakistan is an unrelable nation without any accountablity. It will not hestitate to use its nuclear option on India. Why U.S and other western countries that raise lots of hue and cry over N.Korea's nuclear progeamme do not bat even an eye lid over Pakistan's ever increasing pile of Nuclear bombs. Indian Govt should immediately scrap the CNTBT and renew its nuclear programme.

Arming Pakistan and India
whatever aid given by U.S.to pakistan always end as arsenel against India. U.S. intellegiance agencies accuse Pakistan thatHarpoon anti-ship Missiles given to them were modified to target India.I am not surprised by that news. The arming by western countries was vehemently opposed by India time and again. Two major powers U.S and China are pouring arms and money into Pakistan. Pakistan Rulers, wheteher democratly elected or Military leaders, cleverly divert it to use against India.Pakistan never considered Taliban as their enemy. Its India they want to destruct. Ofcourse China has vested interest in formenting trouble in India.. Why U.S.did not understand this? Why they turn a blind eye? If INDIA is destroyed its as good as end of the world. Nothing can stop Islam to conquer the whole world.China is under the false hope that they are safe from the violent clutches of Islam. Already their north western region had Islamic insurgency recently.
